Note how making selections for some of the features will automatically "grey out" (as unavailable) other selections that conflict with existing selections thereby ensuring only "valid" configurations are selectable. Such products constraints / rules are captured from products specialists and empowers the sales team to carry out accurate interactive selling.


The "constraints" on the valid combinations of captured product features are represented using constraints trees as show below. During the requirement data capture a special "constraints engine" is invoked to "grey out" invalid selections as selections are made.
